| Notes about this item. This is a Graupner Tunnel Hull, just under three feet long and molded in fibreglass with grey gelcoat. It's a beautiful casting, with nary a single flaw to be found.. almost a shame to cover it up with paint. I have to admit that I strayed quite some distance from the original concept laid out by the boat's owner - but it was from a 'cookie cutter' printed offroad buggy shell, and really didn't look all that fast - and this hull needs to look fast. And so, when I got started on the paint work, the lightning/plasma field concept just came out of the brush, and the single-directional shreds followed naturally after. I couldn't really read the owner's reaction on delivery.. I hope he liked the result. I know I do. A selection of closeups can be seen here. |
